  7. Inventor is the SGI standard file format for 3D objects and scenes. Several applications like Showcase, IRIS Explorer all support the Inventor file format.

Ez3d has its own special extensions to this format. You may wish to save out Ez3d objects or scenes into this vanilla INVENTOR.iv format for export to other programs that read this format. These objects and scenes can be read into any application that supports the Open Inventor format. The EZ3D-INVENTOR.iv format can also be read by an application that supports Inventor format, but it may generate warnings.
